¡Hola! Mi nombre es Erica Aldaz, y soy de Quito, Ecuador. Tengo una Licenciatura en Educación Infantil Temprana de Metro State University of Denver. He estado en el campo de ECE desde 2016 y este es mi cuarto año como maestra principal de ECE. ECE es mi edad favorita para enseñar, porque tengo el asiento en primera fila para ser testigo de todas esas “primeras” nuevas experiencias, transformaciones y momentos como “¡Ya puedo hacerlo!” Motivándolos con sentimientos de seguridad, conexión y curiosidad, además desafiándolos académicamente. Tengo la oportunidad de ser testigo de su crecimiento real a medida que nos embarcamos en su trayectoría estudiantil. Fuera de la escuela me puedes encontrar pasando tiempo de calidad con mi esposo y mis dos hijas, haciendo jardinería y explorando la belleza de Colorado.
Hi! My name is Erica Aldaz, and I am from Quito, Ecuador. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Metro State University of Denver. I’ve been in the ECE field since 2016 and this is my fourth year as a lead ECE teacher. ECE is my favorite age to teach because I get a front row seat to all those “firsts” – new experiences, transformations, and “I can do it!” moments. By encouraging the students’ feelings of security, connection, and curiosity in addition to academic challenges, I get to witness real growth as we embark on their educational journeys. Outside of school you can find me spending quality time with my husband and two daughters, gardening and exploring the beauty of Colorado.
