McMeen is an ECE-5th grade elementary school in Southeast Denver where your student will feel the support of our magical community as they engage in rigorous academics!
In addition to English and Spanish programming, social-emotional learning and a wide range of academic support, we prioritize fun and community! We bring the McMeen magic with:
Mighty Mondays: Weekly assemblies where are students are celebrated for living our values! We ensure every student is celebrated at least once throughout the school year.
Capturing Kids' Hearts: We partner with an organization called Capturing Kids Hearts to promote a monthly trait like empathy, respect and kindness.
Our Community Garden: Both an outdoor educational space for students and a shared resource that community members are welcome to use and enjoy!
Weekly food and clothing bank: We distribute free items at our McMeen Market. We are a diverse school with many families that can donate and many families in need of donations, so we bring those families together every week at our Market! It's just one example of our caring community - what we refer to as "McMeen Magic."
Super Citizen: This tradition is as old as McMeen itself! Twice a year, each educator selects two students to celebrate as exemplary leaders at McMeen. The Optimist Club joins us to recognize these students in front of their families and peers!
