Originally from Los Angeles, California, I moved to Denver in 2018 to receive my masters in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Denver. As a Mexican-American woman who values culturally responsive education, my goal is to facilitate a classroom community where ALL voices are heard and respected. Teaching first grade at McMeen Elementary means that I get to pursue that goal each day as our diverse learners come to class with an innate love for learning and a desire to share their experiences. In addition to teaching, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and discovering new music.
