ACADEMIC VALUE PROPOSITION

 

 McMeen Elementary’s mission is to offer a standards based instruction focused on developing the gifts and talents of the whole child through a multi-cultural partnership of parents, teachers, and students.

 

COMPELLING STORY

 

The McMeen community celebrates and embraces diversity.  Our population stands out from other neighborhood schools because of its multicultural student body.  Character education is infused in every aspect of the school environment to ensure the development of the whole child.  Students of many ethnicities from around the globe make this school a truly unique learning experience. McMeen’s cohesive and professional staff provides and supports many programs and learning opportunities for students and families:

 *After school programs which include Science Club, Action Council, Art Club and Basketball.

*Before and after school care

*Before and after school tutoring

*Technology classes

*Gifted and Talented program

*Community and parent volunteers

*Integrated Arts

*Bully Prevention program

*Focus on Character Education
